This has to be one of our favourite wedding venues and we are sure you’ll fall in love with it, too. Why? Because it has everything going for it – luxurious interiors; a professional kitchen and bar; wonderful gardens; and a heated pool. And that’s just a start. During the 1980s and 90s this was the summer retreat of the French President.
The Château Charmant sits gloriously in 150 acres of gardens and parkland, on the Dordogne / Charente border, and close to some of the prettiest villages in France. With stunning grounds and opulently decorated interior spaces it is the perfect combination of country living with interior chic.
With all this space, there are plenty of choices for your wedding ceremony either indoors or outdoors. And as the pretty little village of Aubeterre is nearby, you could even opt to tie the knot in the stunning monolithic church.
The venue can accommodate 20 to 24 people in luxurious suites throughout the château. Four more people can sleep in the cottage with its own self-catering kitchen. And, whilst the château is large and imposing in appearance (great for events), the interiors are cosy. So, it’s the perfect combination of homely and stately residence. It is also excellent value for money – allowing a high-end private hire event at unbeatable prices.
What’s more, you will find plenty to do and see in the area, too, because this part of the Dordogne, known as the Perigord Vert, is a very popular region. You can find even more activities here.
